“Will you marry me?” Josh asked Janeen when he was 8 years old. Her response was very polite, but her answer ended up being no. After all, he was 6 years younger than her. Four years later nothing had changed. “I’m in love with her” he boldly told his brother.
“We’ve known each other forever… since we were kids” Janeen nostalgically explained towards the end of the night. She smiled and slowly said, “You know he’s been in love with me since he was 8?” She asked lightheartedly. She glanced at Josh with fondness. “I’ve known him all my life, and I just knew that he was a good guy.” She went on, explaining that their love was beautiful and practical. “I know that he’s gonna take care of me.”
Surrounded by a small group of family and friends, I could see that she was right. As everyone hugged and congratulated them, Janeen and Josh were never too far away from one another. And as they wrangled the family together, laughter often erupted as they joked and ribbed each other kindly. Their day at Lightfoot Restaurant was incredibly classy, and we were so happy to document what will prove to be the beginning of a beautiful lifelong marriage.
Congratulations to you both! We had a lovely time documenting all the details and all of your kindhearted family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to get a glimpse into one of the most joyous celebrations of your lives!
Also many thanks to the vendor team who made this wedding truly special!
